Tryout Information for New Swimmers

Tryouts will be at Manvel High School and they are for NEW swimmers only, including club and high school. Returning swimmers will be placed into their groups by the coaching staff.  Directions to the Manvel H.S. pool are at the bottom of the page.

Tryouts will be held on April 9th and 16th at 4 p.m.  You will just come to one of them.

New swimmers will need to bring a suit, towel, and goggles. Tryouts will take approximately 20 minutes once your child enters the water. If your child is 8 and under, they will be required to swim a 25 (one length of the pool) freestyle. If your child is 9 and up, they will be required to swim a 50 (two lengths of the pool) freestyle. We will ask your children to show us any other strokes they might know.

We are not looking for world class swimmers. We are looking for basic swimming ability and water safe kids.

19601 Highway 6, Manvel  77578

1) F.M. 518 to F.M. 1128, turn South
2) Go 6.9 miles to Highway 6 and turn Right.
3) Go 0.7 miles and turn right at Manvel High School.
4) Go towards the back. The Natatorium has multiple windows.
